For a VERY limited few (nine families), I am opening the studio doors for you to solve your shopping dilemma and BLOW EVERYONE AWAY doing it – and I’m talking tears and cheers – I hear from my clients every day!

Just imagine the phone ringing on Christmas morning as tearful loved ones call right then to tell you how much they LOVE their portrait of your family.  Mom’s, Dad’s, Grandparents – they cannot go out and buy this ONE ITEM for themselves – but you can!  And that’s priceless!  (I hope it’s not to late…)

Luckily for you – we include a free chat to help plan this once-in-a-lifetime portrait, including clothing suggestions, hair and makeup tips – nothing left to chance – at no additional charge!  Please – don’t wait – as you read this, our phones are ringing off the hook!  You have NOTHING TO LOSE!  Our “Tears of joy” guarantee ensures you’ll be thrilled with your portraits – or you don’t pay us!

THERE’S NO risk to you!

In addition to may other events through the summer every year Chesterton’s European Market has their Pumpkinpalooza on Halloween weekend. The kids get to trick or treat at the vendors booths, decorate pumpkins, and go on a hayride in the park. The Pumpkinpalooza is the last outdoor market of the season, which will be starting again the first weekend of May. It’s hard to believe, but that’s right around the corner.

While putting this video together I couldn’t help but recall the sights, sounds and especially the smells of the Market vendors. This coming season will be my 4th season at the market and I can’t wait. At the risk of being redundant I’ll say again, the smell of the food vendors alone is worth the trip. I challenge you to walk through the market and not eat something. There’s also live entertainment supplied by some great local musicians. You can find out more about the vendors, food and otherwise at their website www.chestertonseuropeanmarket.com.

Help Spread the Word

You might be thinking, well that doesn’t apply to me, my kids are all grown up. I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen a number of new babies in my Facebook feed and I’m sure you have as well. How cool would it be if you passed this on to a friend of yours that just had a baby or just announced they are expecting. Just let them know you’re thinking about them and you care. It won’t cost you anything and it won’t cost them anything. You get a stronger friendship and they get great baby portraits. Maybe they’ll even send you a photo!

Today’s photo is from my IPhone camera. I am out of town today so I decided to use this photo. I created this a few days ago, when he was talking to me at my desk. I liked the lighting on him and grabbed a few photos and this is my favorite.

Today’s photo was done in the family’s home. It’s not a perfectly posed photograph, but it represents the little boy. I just put him in an area and interacted with him. I have plenty of photographs of him making silly faces just so I could capture a genuine smile.

Photo of the Day

March 15, 2011

I photographed this little girl in her home using a large bookshelf as the background. She was a little bashful, but I love her expression here. I think her big soft eyes and the slight smile make this photo._MG_9447-Edit

To Look Back on Someday.

February 6, 2011

20110206-032414.jpgI was sitting in my living room today and saw these dinosaurs poised for battle. It struck me that someday when my boys have grown beyond dinosaurs I might find this photo somewhere and remember the roars and the battles.

Self Portrait-1041-Edit-3Starting today, I am going to update this blog on a more regular basis. Mondays and Fridays are the two days during the week in which I do not run, therefore I will begin posting to the blog on those days. It is my plan to post a mixture of personal as well as business and photography related articles.

What do you want to read about?

Since I am writing this blog for you to read, I only thought it fair to ask you what you want to read about. So, what do you want to know about me? You can submit your answer in the comments below or you can contact me via Facebook, Twitter, email or the old fashioned way by picking up the telephone and calling. I’m here for you. Do you want photography tips? Marketing advice? or how about organization and time management? I don’t claim to be an expert in any of the previous categories, but I have done research in all of them and have some opinions that just might help you out. So, until I hear from you, I will start posting whatever strikes me at the moment.

Do you want to see me hear me or just read?

My question is, do you have a preferred forma? Are you happy just to read what I have to say or would you prefer another type of media, such as video or audio? My current plan is to write it for you to read most of the time. Every once in a while I may post a video or audio if it is easier to demonstrate something than it is to type it.

I want to hear from you!

Remember, I am doing this for you, I can’t provide what you are looking for if you don’t tell me. I have thoughts on lots of things and I’m more than willing to share, so look out world here I come!
