Last weekend was the 2010 Bridal Show sponsored by the Times. MJ Photography setup a booth there and met some brides looking for a wedding photographer. We would like to congratulate Michelle Mentink and Michael Farrell who won a free wedding photography package. Their engagement session and wedding will be featured on a future blog post, so please check back often.

During the show we also had a model, Kelly Jordan, in a wedding dress and professional hair and make-up for a bridal photo shoot. I would like to thank everybody that volunteered their time and services to make the photo shoot happen. I have listed them all below with a detailed photograph showing off their particular products or services. You can also get more information about each of the vendors on the Vendors List tab on this blog.

Adoring Eyes

March 11, 2010

I took this image at my very first hired wedding. The wedding was on Halloween night in 2006 and although it was an unconventional wedding, the groom wore a kilt and several of the guests were in costume, you can see from the look in the brides eyes here that she is deeply in love. The wedding was held at the South Shore Country Club in Cedar Lake Indiana.

My New Home Studio Space

March 9, 2010

I recently moved some stuff around clearing space for a new home studio. I had it setup over the weekend and used it to take Eric’s (my oldest son), eight year portraits.

I am now booking indoor portrait sessions in my very own home studio space. I am giving free session fees to the first ten clients to book an indoor studio session in order to expand my portfolio. Every session is about one hour in the studio and includes 3 to 5 outfits. You also get a slideshow featuring the best images from the session for use on Facebook or other social media sites.

I have also made it easier to book a session. I have created an online form you can fill out and submit to reserve your spot Here. There is also a page on the blog where you can enter your information, just click the “Book a Session” link above.
