Today’s photo is a young bride who was willing to put her wedding dress on and let me practice. ┬áThis is one of my favorite close up portraits we made. We created it at the main branch of the Hammond Public Library.

Happy Anniversary to Dan and Debbie. They were married one year ago Sunday. Today’s photo was created at Centennial Park in Munster between the ceremony and the reception. It was a great day and here’s to many more anniversaries for Dan and Debbie.

Today’s photo is a young girl caught in the rain at Chesterton’s European Market. The market remains open rain or shine. So, like this young girl, don’t let the weather discourage you from having fun. Grab an umbrella and go out for some tasty treats. Just think of it as a chance to use another fashionable accessory…your umbrella.

Class of 2012 Senior Day at Chesterton’s European Market

That’s high school seniors graduating in 2012. Saturday May 21st I will be at Chesterton’s European Market and looking for Class of 2012 Senior Models. I need four seniors from each school, that’s two girls and two boys. Senior models get their senior portraits created for no charge that’s a $120 value. You also have the opportunity to have additional portraits created as I occasionally need marketing materials. All that is required of my senior models is that you tell all of their friends about your experience with MJ Photography.

Meet Previous Senior Models

You will also get a chance to meet some of my previous senior models and hear about their experience. I will have class of 2011 seniors on hand showing some of their favorite senior portraits. I will also do some photography demonstrations throughout the day so that you can come out and see me in action. It’s going to be a fun day at Chesterton’s European Market.

Bring Your Friends and Have an Experience

Chesterton’s European Market is an experience in itself. I am anticipating some really cool vendors this year. I know the aroma of fresh oven baked pizza’s alone made the trip worthwhile last year. I want to see you there! That’s Saturday May 21st from 8am to 2pm and remember to bring your appetite. I can smell the pizzas already!

Today’s photo is little cutie! I recently created Easter outfit photos for her and this is one of my absolute favorites. I love the soft expression and the big brown eyes. There are more photos and a video slideshow on my Facebook page Facebook.com/mjphotos.

Today’s photo is more traditional. There are no textures or color effects added. This is pretty much how I envisioned the shot when first pressed the shutter. I like how the lines in the bricks lead your eyes right to the subject. I also like the warmth and the coloring.

Today’s photo is from an engagement session for Mike and Michelle. They are a really great couple and I had a lot of fun photographing their engagement as well as their wedding. What I really like about this photo is that the purple they are wearing really sets them apart from the mostly green background.

Today’s portrait is a high school senior in his football uniform. This is one that I overlooked back when I first photographed him. As I was going back through them looking for a photo, it caught my eye. I added some texture and gave it a whole new attitude.

Today’s photo is Tiffany of the Duneland Chamber of Commerce. Come see Tiffany this summer at Chesterton’s European Market which I can’t believe is only a few weeks away. Opening weekend is Saturday May 7. I have been going for the past two years and can’t wait for this coming summer. The food vendors alone are worth the trip.
